All repairs done by Flutacious! include a warranty. Flutacious! technicians are certified to do Straubinger pad installation, as well as warranty work on many brands of new flutes.
We encourage flutists to bring their instruments in every year for an annual maintenance or Clean, Oil, and Adjust (COA). This is a necessary preventative maintenance which will keep the flute or piccolo in peak performance mode. The COA includes complete cleaning, oiling and light polishing of the flute and mechanism, headjoint cork replacement, removal of lost motion, adjustments and key regulation (leak detection!), and pad replacement as necessary. The cost for this service will vary depending on the age of the flute pads and the flute model.
Flutacious! also performs major overhauls on flutes and piccolos. An overhaul includes the replacement of all pads, corks, and felts, replacement of the headjoint cork, refitting of entire mechanism, removal of light dents and scratches, fitting of headjoint or footjoint as necessary, as well as complete hand polish of the body and key work. An overhaul can take from 2 to 4 weeks depending on make, model and time of year!
